Isi artikelA review of the professional literature reveals numerous articles related to the frequency and prevalence of infidelity, the demographics, values, attitudes, opinions, and religious affiliations of those who have participated in or experienced infidelity, and typical infidelity relationship durations. However, there exists a paucity of treatment-based literature describing how to clinically process or debrief infidelity disclosure. To address this paucity, the Modified Infidelity Debriefing Process used by the authors is described. This strengths-based process combines solution-focused interventions and has been used with couples who have experienced recent infidelity disclosure.
