Abstract
Effort in the design of the filtration system tools and will proceed with the filtration results of water testing is become important, in order to help people in rural areas far from water sources. Therefore, this study is expected to be a useful contribution for people in rural areas far from water sources to obtain clean water. First, determination of the layout filtration systems and then design tool for filtration systems. After the tool design process is complete, then conducted experiment rain water filtration process. The experiments carried out, the rain water was grouped into four conditions, rain water before it is deposited, the rain water deposited during two days, rain water deposited during four days, and deposition of rain water that has filtered results. This is done in order to compare the quality of rainwater from the deposition process of filtration which will be connected with the requirements of national clean water standars. The experiment result show that the rain water deposited during two days already meet the requirements of clean water standars, without having to go through the process of filtration.
