The demand of vertical transportation equipment on buildings is rising along with the growth of building occupants. College building has a dynamics characteristic which is the occupancy rate of this building is increasing every year. This would be the reason for make some redesigning in order to achieve the comfortable and securable for all building occupants. On this redesign project, writer using the Indonesian National Standard to make a calculation of redesign elevator operation system. From the calculation, the best operation system for tower B Atmajaya University’s Building are Single-Rise with interleaved zones. It have 4 unit lift,each lift has a rated speed for 2,5 m/s and rated load for 1350 Kg. The group handling capacity for the system which served an even floor are 89 persons each 5 minutes. The group handling capacity for the system which served an odd floor are 90 persons each 5 minutes. Average waiting time for the system which served an even floor is 53,3 s. Average waiting time for the system which served an odd floor is 53,6 s. Those values are satisfying enough based on standard in which the building function criteria. |
