| At present, universities in Indonesia both public and private are increasingly growing in number. Due to the amount that much, all existing colleges compete for introducing such colleges and to acquire students. Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia as one of the private colleges did not escape from the competition. In doing promotion, Unika Atma Jaya uses two types of promotion that is hard and soft promotion. Hard promotion is done by holding an exhibition and educational presentation facilitated by schools or education agencies both in Jakarta as well as outside Jakarta. Soft promotion is done by looking at what is needed by the school. The lack of information that shows whether the school is potential or not become a hindrance in doing promotion. To overcome it, research in building a decision support System that can provide a list of potential schools based on criteria specified by the user is held. There are two methods used in Determination of potential school, namely Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and Simplified Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). There are ten criteria used in this research in assessing whether a school is potential or not, they are number of student entries, the average GPA of students, average time of study, school accreditation, accreditation rating, high school students population in the city/district, the percentage of high school students in the City/district, the number of high school students in the province, the percentage of high school students in the province, and the school’s distance from Atma Jaya Catholic university of Indonesia. In addition to generating a list of potential schools, decision support System that created can also manipulate the input data both school’s data and student’s data. The data processing can be done by system such as compute the percentage of the student’s enterance path, the average GPA grouped by student’s enteramce path. The average GPA by student’s year entrance, the percentage of the number of men and women, the percentage from private schools and public schools, the percentage of the school’s origin, and the percentage of grouped GPA. These data processing can be used as supporting data for Marketing and Public Relations of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia in doing promotion. |
