Research is underway to conduct a comparative study on the body dimensions of primary school students in South Jakarta. It is based on the absence of studies comparing the measurements with conventional methods and anthroscan. Dimension to be compared is 20 body dimensions of conventional standing position measurement and dimensional body generated by anthroscan stand. A research of 267 primary school students aged 7-12 years in South Jakarta area was conducted from mid November 2011 until the end of December 2011. Data for conventional measurements taken using a form of measurement in the form of identity data sheets and data sheets measuring 20 dimensions of the body stand up, while for measurements with anthroscan not use the data sheet, data generated directly displayed through the computer. Data obtained from 141 boys aged 7-12 years and women aged 7-12 years 126anak later recapitulated by sex and age groups. The data is processed by performing a test of data normality and significance test to do a comparison using the software Minitab 15. Significance test carried out on a subpopulation of sex and age group for the dimensions of body height, hip height, and knee height. Comparative study will be conducted based on several points of view of comparative measurements, comparative measurement instruments, comparative measurement procedures, and the old comparative measurements. In consideration of the viewpoint that the results obtained are discussed research to generate suitable data base using the method anthroscan while research for the benefit of better design using conventional methods. |
