Isi artikelThe consistency between intention and actual behavior has been almost always questioned: will people express their intention to their observed behavior? The study examined the influence of culture to cooperative intention and cooperative behavior by comparing Indonesian and German workgroups (N Indonesia = 221; N German = 181). It also identified the relationship between these two variables. A variance of social dilemma game was developed as a mean to measure the cooperative behavior. Results indicate that culture has a significant effect on cooperative intention ans cooperative behavior. The Indonesia workgroups participants shows a high intention to cooperate, but they express it in a competitive way. On the other hand, the German workgroups participants have a strong cooperative intention and they show it in the interaction.
