Between January and April 1989 research was conducted to establish the correlation between surface water run-off, erosion and vegetation on the slopes of Mount Potro, an area about 600 metres above sealevel which has an average gradient of 60%-80%. Surface water run off and erosion was measured using the method of small plots (22m x 2m). Vegetational data obtained included the type, population density, and biomass.
