Abstract
The development in industrial area makes more competitive ability requirement of human resources in all areas, one area the area is automation that including robotics. The enhancement by using robots will increase the needs of human resources that know about the automation and robotics. Through Automation and Robotics module at the Laboratory of Industrial Design and Automation System of Atma Jaya Jakarta Catholic University, the Industrial Engineering students get some information relate to the automation and robotics. The conditions of lab facilities, lab procedures, as well as the module itself, of course must always be increased in line with technological advances to guarantee the quality of practicum. This research aims to develop the Automation and Robotics module in Laboratory of Industrial Design and Automation System and analyze the level of development being done. The focuses of development are the development of lab equipment and lab procedures. Development carried out on lab equipment includes the robot models addition, the use of new interfaces, and use of the ROBO Pro software for programming robots. Robotic plants used in the lab are the product of Fischertechnik. For the development of practicum procedures related to the steps of experiment are more systematic and more complex. The final results of this research are a new model plant with Robotic, combined robotics plants, and the redesign of Automation and Robotics Module in accordance development. With the development of this module, Industrial Engineering students are expected to know more about the concept of automation and robotics in depth.
