Isi artikel
When tragedy strikes a person, often the answer given to the question "Why did this have to happen?" Is either "It is the testing of the Lord," or "It is fate." The former answer is an example of our response to the omnipotence of God, which is "triumphalism." The latter answer is our reaction to the idea that human existence is ruled by fate, "fatalism." However, we frequently forget that it is human wrong doing (i.e., sin) which is what often causes one, or one's neighbours, to suffer.
