Following World War II, the role of the US dollar in world trade and the international money market became central. However in recent years, in the world system which is continually changing, the American dollar is not always the safest choice to guarantee liquidity, and stability in trading, or as the international monetary denomination. The external value of the dollar is very flexible with a tendency to fall. This has a direct influence on the internal economies of countries with open economics. So how should Indonesia, as a developing country, face up to this change in the American dollar?
