The Minister of Education has an important role in determining the development of education in Indonesia. This is simply because she/he has the significant roles, not only dealing with schooling but also with any matters of life. Experts have argued that a figure to be assigned for the post in this Department must be of person who has vision of nationalism and posseses deep understanding of the education sector it self. This paper elaborates details criteria that seem important to be accomodated in deciding the future figure of national Education Minister.
