In this paper, the writer tries to elaborate the principles of Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) from developing countries (Indonesia) perspective. CCRF is based on voluntary principle (Article 1.1), however, developing countries, such as Indonesia, still have to adopt it as guidance for fisheries governance in order to implement it. This is how developing countries give their contribution for the global fisheries management. In this context, some of CCRF principles are analyzed and associated with developing countries fisheries issues, especially in Indonesia. This article is intended to facilitate CCRF implementation in developing countries so it can be acceptable and applicable, thus CCRF's main goal in achieving global sustainable fisheries could be achieved properly.
