Interstudio is one of two service companies that give service in post-production process of the film (widescreen) and ads that are currently in Indonesia. The company has been established since 1976 so they have experience in film post-production process. The author studied many theories about the recruitment and selection while studying at Atma Jaya, Jakarta, and therefore have many knowledge about human resource management(HRM). Interstudio already have experience of more than 30 years in management including HRM, because of that I'm interested to learn the practice and implementation of human resource management practices, particularly recruitmnet and selection. The purpose of this task is to see whether there is compatibility or incompatibility between the theory of recruitment and selection practices are learned and the implementation of recruitment and selection in Interstudio. The results of an independent task showed that there is some fit between theory and practice and implementation of recruitment and selection, but also there are some discrepancies. These mismatches include the hierarchy of decision making that long selection, lack of budget and process facilities, and other problem issues. This suggests that the recruitment and selection process in Interstudio not perfect and can still be improved where the authors suggest in chapter five. |
