Using qual i ta tive and quan ti ta tive research meth ods, the impact of imple ment ing a tech nologyrich learn ing envi ronment in a mar keting cur riculum is inves - tigated. A quasi-exper i men tal approach used (1) a pre-lap top program assess ment based on per ceptual map ping and con - cept stud ies, (2) a treat ment (laptops and ped agogy changes) assess ment based on social cog ni tive the ory, and (3) a postlap top assess ment of per ceptual map ping and enrollment data. Faculty and stu dent responses to the new lap top-based environment are provided along with a dis cus sion based on this expe rience.
