One of internal communication form that likely to use in company is meeting. A good meeting is a meeting that run by a good leader, allowing participants to think free and objective, interaction not being monopolize and no heated discussion between participants. The aim of this study is to have the description of meeting condition in PT. SPP. The sample of this study is 44 employees who often attending meeting at PT. SPP from staff to Manager level. In this study the data collected by qualitative method and proceed in quantitative way. From the result, searcher found that there’s problem that obstructed the process of meeting such as some of the participants not giving others to finish their opinion or idea, giving some critics that have no connection with the topic of the meeting, and different argument. This un-effective meeting not only costing the company (material, time, and wage) but it also affecting participants where they became less productive and passive. Basically, PT. SPP already have a behavior manual which giving employee a guide to act in company. But base on the result, the searcher conclude that there’s still no realization from behavior manual in meeting process that causing meeting become un-effective. The searcher propose that communication meeting ethics manual as a guide to implementing meeting. |
