There are many literature about business organization-system building that use the human resources as determinant to make the competitive advantage. But they don't discuss the disposition of people (fitrah manusia) therefore the role of human resources haven't been maximum in achieving the competitive advantage. This paper discuss the Emotional and Spiritual Quotient (ESQ) as an integration of IQ, EQ and SQ to enhance the quality of human resources. The human resources are unique and different from other resources. The ESQ can integrate human intelligence and heart (rational, emotional and spiritual elements) in building the strong character and personality that based on the sublime human values.
