Aetheric oil is essential in pharmaceutical industry. This research is conducted to develop small scale distillation equipment that can be used by home industry to extract the aetheric oil. The result showed that the ratio of aetheric oil and raw material was very low;, each 2 kg of raw material produced 40 ml aetheric oil. The quality of aetheric oil depended on the condition and the density of raw material, the kind equipment material, and the duration of distillation process.
