The general paradigm currently observed in DkI Jakarta waste managements is collect-transport-dispose. The volume of waste to be handled in DKI Jakarta is about 25.000 m3 perday and will be increase accordingly, mean while the total capacity of Temporary Disposal (TPS) only 17.000 m3 perday. Currently, most of waste transported to open dumping or final sites (TPA) Bantargebang should as much as possible be reduced to the minimum. It was estimated that only as much as 10% of the waste were treated through better system such as controlled landfill. Most of existing waste transportation system in DKI Jakarta rely on the congested of traffic as well as to the, the SPA Cakung or Sunter and TPA Bantargebang.
