This study explains how Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) can be used as a tool in identifying and solving problems, in the evaluation process of simulation system course. Using Soft Systems Methodology, the evaluation process carried out by considering all aspects and elements associated with the lecture system. The goal is to design a repair system, which capable of facilitating the views of stakeholders of the system. The steps that undertaken in conducting the evaluation process for the course of this simulation system, adapted to the methodology of Checkland’s SSM, where the stages consist of description of problem situation with a rich picture, development of conceptual model, until the determination of plan changes / improvements. Each stage is carried out based on information collected through multiple methods of data collection, such as: interviews, questionnaires, and focus group discussions with relevant stakeholders. The information obtained from stakeholders is processed based on the stages of SSM to the resulting plan changes to improve teaching and learning system simulation systems courses. |
