Abstract
Conducted reasearch aimed to create mathematical equation model that based on the relationship between heart rate and oxygen consumption. The mathemathical equation is made based on the theory that the heart rate to oxygen consumption have a linear relationship, so it can be made linear equation that interpret the relationship.Subject of the research is student from Industrial Engineering, Unika Atma Jaya, Jakarta. That subject has age range between 19 years to 22 years. Number subject taken for this research is 34 men and 22 women. Data obtained from male subject are used to make the mathemathic model and for validation testing of the mathematical model, while data derived from female subjects are used to generalize mathematical model. The research conducted in Ergonomic Center Laboratory at University of Indonesia. This is because the device to measure oxygen consumption, namely Fitmate Med, is a device borrowed from the laboratory. Before the research began, first subject is required to fill medical history. During the research, the subject is given treatment in the form of running on treadmill for 6 minutes long. As long as the subject ran, oxygen consumption and heart rate of subjects measured. When run, subject underwent 3 phase which is warm up, jogging, and sprint. Everytime the phase changed, will be guided by the researcher so the research will run smoothly. The results obtained are that between oxygen consumption and heart rate have strong and positive relationship. It can be seen from the value of the coefficient of determination 88,6% and the value of Pearson correlation 0,941. Mathemathical model equation that obtained is simple mathematical model of linear equation.
