The writing titled "Contribution of Subject Writing on Students' was conducted based on the impertance of writing ability for students. Thie research aimed to figure out the level of students, Eriting ability of those who are passed the subject 'Writing (Advance Writing)" and whether their wring ability has conributions on their jobs as a teacher and a societymember the population of this researce were all student of the program spread out at some UPBJJ, Who have passed the wxamination in year 2006 semester 2 (2006.2) the sample of this reserch were those who returned the reserch instrument ( a writing abilitytest and a questionnaire). There were 36 students from UPBJJ Jakarta, Serang Bandung, Purwokerto, Bengkulu, Bajarmasin, Kupang , and Papua. The result of this research shows that the students have good writing ability and it can be catogorized an follos 25 % of themare very goor; 38,89 % of the are good; 33,33% of them are fair ; 2,78 % of them are not good enough. an analysis of contribution studen wrintingon their job as a teacher, show that 85,83 % respondents declared that their writing ability is beneficial tothem; 11 39% stated that their writing ability is less beneficial to them or has no contributionand 2,06% did not give their opinions
