Isi artikel
The number of mother-and- child households is on the rise in Japn. When people hear about such households, they are likely to think of unmarried women raising young children on their own. Cases like like this are, indeed, increasingly common, but the truly rapid growth has been in single-mother households consisting of an eldery widow living with a son or daughter who is approaching middle age without having married.
