Abstract
PT. Gopek Cipta Utama is a company engaged in the production of packaged tea, PT. Gopek Cipta Utama must have a good product t quality in order to meet customer’s need. This the company can increase its market. PT. Gopek Cipta Utama realize that the quality of the resulting product still to be repaired and even improved since the still frequent occurrence of failures that caused the high number of defects for each type of product that dihasikan company which is 12%. Based on the circumstances of this company is a necessary improvement programs and quality improvement through Six Sigma methodologies. Handling problems are prioritized in the process of wrapping packaging based on the frequency and cost of most major defects. After the measurement of the obtained average value of DPMO to the wrapping of 206686 (superior quality) and 223683 (economic quality). Sigma level of 2,320 (superior quality) and 2,472 (economic quality), an index of cp 0,1657 (superior quality) 0,1412 (economic quality) and cpk -0,0976 (superior quality) -0,1527 (economic quality). The low performance of packaging is further analyzed USING why analysis, fishbone, FMEA. In the present study was designed but not implemented improvements in PT. Gopek Cipta Utama.
