This article describes core knowledge management techniques of the author, which he then uses to describe the ‘electronic trust services’ market. He explains why this market will be growing in 2002, and why it is important for every business, whether large, medium, small or micro, to take advantage of a combination of new legal and technological opportunities to promote ‘electronic commerce’ between each other by using these services. The article is a mix of knowledge management theory and practice, with an illustrative application of some of the key knowledge management principles to a real life business situation, namely an emerging market with its threats and opportunities for all.
