This research aimed at knowing the development of money supply in Indonesia and the factors influencing it. This research used secondary data from Bank Indonesia (BI) and Central Board od Statistic (BPS). The variables used in this research were: narrow money (M1), Gross Domestic Product (GDP), inflation rate, foreign interest rate, state budget-expenditure side/APBN (government expenditure) and official reserve. The data analysis on money supply showed that there was significant development of money supply showed that there was significant development of money supply in Indonesia during the observation period (1997.1-2004.2). On the average, every three months there was an increasing of narrow money as big as Rp 5480.265 billion.
