| In activities of daily living, people often live with less careful. This can cause minor accidents with serious problems such as wound. Wound will get stung when exposed to soapy water when bathing. The difficulty is to avoid wound from soapy water, humans didn’t have a special tool to cover the wound was in the shower. The exist wound’s cover considered unsatisfactory when used while taking a bath. This research will discuss the needs of consumers concerning wound’s cover equipment if used while taking a bath, after that sought ways to supplement those needs by creating a new wound’s cover equpiment which is specifically used when bathing. In making wound’s cover equipment, the first step is to identify consumer needs, then look for technical needs, followed by developing the concept, then choose the best concept. After that the design concept which is consisting of choosing the right material to determine the part sizes. At the end of the research, the concept of wound’s cover equipment selected will be tested and analyzed. The tests in this research consisted of two stages. The first stage is a test conducted on the body of researchers themselves. The second phase of trials conducted on consumers. Results of the test from concept wound’s cover equipment obtained wound’s cover equipment designed inthis research successfully meet consumer needs and technical requirements that take precedence to be developed. |
