| Atma Jaya Catholic University is one of the top universities in Indonesia that produces high quality graduates. Good image is owned by Atma Jaya Catholic University made many prospective students from various regions in Indonesia (outside Jakarta) who choose Atma Jaya Catholic University. Number of prospective students from outside Jakarta to make them need a place to live which is called with a boarding house. Many options boarding house around campus, among others in the region of Karet Sawah and Karet Satrio. But the difficulties felt by new students is the difficulty in finding information about boarding house. In addition to information on boarding house, boarding house the appropriate selection of preferences or desires are very important because the condition of boarding a comfortable place to support the activities of lecturing a student. This study aims to map and complete the data or information on attractions about boarding house in the region of Karet Sawah and Karet Satrio. It is also to determine the optimal combination of attributes which is student preferences when choosing a boarding house so that it becomes information for the reference for owners of boarding houses to provide a boarding house in accordance with student preferences. The method used in this study is to calculate the average value, crosstab for the identity of respondents and Conjoint the optimal combination of attributes which is the preference of students in choosing a boarding house. Results of collection and data processing is known that the region of Karet Sawah has more places that accept students than boarding in the region of Karet Satrio, average rents a boarding house in the region of Sawah and Karet Karet Satrio Rp 500,000 to Rp 2,500,000 (depending on the facility provided), not all of the identity of the respondents have relationships with each other. Beside that, student preferences in choosing a boarding house is strongly influenced by price attributes which level of importance to 51.68%. Optimal combination of attributes of the profile card that is a boarding house located in the region Karet Satrio = Rp 1.15 million, the environmental conditions of a boarding house close to eat stasion, safe, and quiet, the cost of electronic goods charge of Rp 30,000-Rp 45,000, and the large number of garments is limited to washing and ironing. |
