The level of readability was the ease of a letter composition was read was based on the letter composition, the density, the size of the letter, and the complexity of the sentence. Legibility was affected by the complexity of the design of the letter, the use of the colour, and the frequency of the observer came across this letter in the everyday life. Today, the development of technology it was felt grew with very fast, many people have left the conventional method of doing something. One of the fast development technology is communication technology especially the internet. In the making of some web (web-design) was needed by some layout that could make the visitor web could read what put forward by this web. Readability can be connected with letter’s layout, the measurement of the letter, the colour of the letter, background and the measurement of space. If the combination of 4 factors was inexact then the possibility of the person that read web was not able to read what was written in this layout. In this research , 100 respondents from children of the Primary School was used, with the criterion still sat in the class of IV-VI and had familiaritas with the computer. The experiment was carried out by using the Fisura Qucklick program. This program took the form of the game “looking for words”. The respondent was asked to look for certain words from this game that was arranged in the certain combination that this combination totalled 48 and was put forward randomly. The data from this research was the data of response time that was produced by the respondent in finding words in the program. The other data was the data produced by the researcher's correspondence with the respondent who was facilitated the questionnaire that had a purpose to know the interest from the certain combination of letter. Data processing was carried out by using the MINITAB program 14 with the processing used the ANAVA method, and Test After ANAVA was done by using the SPSS program 17. The solution was from data processing gotten from ranked the results of the respondent's time of each combination and the results were a combination of the ideal text on-screen that had fastest response time. By this, then the ideal combination on-screen text had the quality of the readability and legibility that was good. |
