Industrial Engineering is a technique which includes the fields of design, repair, and installation of integrated systems consisting of humans, materials, information, equipment and energy. Industrial Engineering set for the system running in the most productive, effective and efficient. In practice, Industrial Engineering does not only rely on mathematics and physics, but also uses social science and management. This is what makes the Industrial Engineering has advantages compared with other sciences to solve problems in the industrial world. However, the advantages of Industrial Engineering itself has not fully realized by high school students. Their understanding of industrial engineering is very limited. This makes necessary a tool to represent the world of Industrial Engineering, to help students understand the contents of Industrial Engineering itself so that more students interested in Industrial Engineering. The tool used is an interactive game. Interactive games chosen because it can be applied more easily. Interactive games that do consist of two phases of the game, namely assembly and product design. The first stage describes the situation of production systems, while the second describes the design and development situation in real life. This game tested to high school students of class I, II, and III in three schools, namely SMA Regina Pacis Bogor, SMA Don Bosco II, and SMA Fransiskus I. From the test results, it was found that there is a change in outlook will of Industrial Engineering to a more positive direction. Students become more understanding of Industrial Engineering. There is increasing interest in industrial engineering after doing the game, although the average interest tend to be still low, less than 40%. |
