The accumulation of cadmium in four species of collembola and three species of carabidae (coleoptera) from the pine forest near the zinc factory in the industrial area of Budel Dorplein, Netherlands, was the subject of our analysis. Fifty samples of each species were collected randomly. A flameless atomic absorption spectrophotometer was used to determine the accumulation of cadmium in each species, and then the data was analysed using the covariance procedure.
