Submarine Cable Communication System technology has been known since the 19th century, beginning as a medium for transmitting telegraph signal. With discovery of high frequency radio wave transmission at the beginning of the 20th century, the SCCS transmission system went out of use. However, with the discovery of the co-axial cable SCC system, this system has again come to dominate the world telecommunication network, for it is still able to compete satellite transmission systems for relatively short distances.
