PT. X is one of manufacutring companies which produce snacks. The problem which is faced now is that they haven’t had a comprehensive performance measuring instrument. Therefore, a design for a performance measuring metric is needed to measure its performance. In addition, the author also designs a computerized information system of performance measurement so that it can give information quickly (which is a program), exactly (performance rate counting) and fully (including all measuring aspects). The purpose of this research is to know the business process fully and to measure PT. X’s supply chain performance. Performance measurement is based on 16 metrics that have been designed and suited to the company’s needs. Only 13 metrics pass the validation test. From the result of the weight that has been done by distribution management and by using Expert Choice 11.5 trial version for data cultivation, we can measure it using Analytical Hierarchy Process methods. We get PT. X’s performance rate in the period of March- December 2009 which is 74,8 of 100. For each metric’s rate, there are 4 metrices whose rate is below 60 and they are categorized as bad performance. Those metrices are forecast error metric, fill rate metric, return rate from customer to PT. X metric and customer complaint metric. The standard of these rates is based on the policy which has been made by the company’s distribution manager. To solve the problem, the author suggests a business process repair and make an information system using Visual Basic 6.0 and Microsoft Access 2003 as database. |
