At Atma Jaya University, especially in the Industrial Engineering Department currently does not have adequate information system, meaning that each user can not access information and obtain the information they want in quickly and easily. For example on the current information system, currently Industrial Engineering Department does not have a system that can provide lecture information in online (lecture information such as: alternate class schedules, the schedule of seminars and schedule of final project, and other information). As for the information provided by the student activities HMTI are now available online but the information is not accurate with current conditions, because the information system is vacuum now. Because of that’s problem, then made a draft of the proposal system, where with the proposal system expected can cope the problems that exist. The proposal information system designed Web-based with using FAST method (Framework for the Application of Systems Thinking). This method is divided into several phases: preparation of research, data processing phase, analysis phase, and phase of the conclusions and suggestions. The results of this study is a new HMTI information system, which in this information system, users can directly enter information to the system to be conveyed to other system users, and users can also see, read, and store the information needed. This information system is designed to have the information menus that are in accordance with the needs of users of the system. In the use HMTI information system has also been designed with very easy to use by each user of the system (user-friendly). Once designed, the author conducted the test with a PC computer (not testing network access) and conclude that the HMTI information system is made aims to provide convenience, speed, to users in terms of information delivery systems, and this system also provides easy access to information needed by users in order to help users get the information required information quickly and easily. |
