Abstract
Teaching practicum is one of the obligatory subjects in English Department, Faculty of Education Atma Jaya Catholic University. In this subject, every student has to practice teaching English subject at a high school. However, before the students have their real teaching at schools, they have to pass the teaching simulation. The student teachers usually have their teaching simulation before they teach at schools. The main aim of this simulation is to prepare the students to be able to teach at schools well.
In the simulation, the students practice to teach English in front of their classmates, while the others pay attention and give feedback to their friends’ teaching performance. Receiving feedback in teaching simulation is important to enhance the student teacher’s performances in teaching. As Richard and Schmidt (2002) state that “In teaching, feedback refers to comments or other information that learners receive concerning their success on learning tasks or tests either from the teacher or other person.” (p. 199)
