What learners believe about their learning is important since their beliefs will bring some effects and shape attitudes toward their learning experience. Horwitz (1987, cited in Wong, 2010) stated that learners’ belief can influence both their experiences and actions as language learners. Learner beliefs might act as their mind-set which leads them to have a basis on how to act, eventually shaping the experiences that they might have in the future. From this point of view it can be assumed that learner beliefs have a very important role in students’ performance on their classes or study. |
