A merger is considered tobe one of powerful business strategies that provide several benefits. Among others are accumulated capitals, a synergic management, a wide market, and become a bigger company. In accounting firm realm, a service industry, merger promises the fundamental human capital, Indeed, the accumulated professionals skills, knowledge and abilities. It is a research that delves to uncover the rational beyond the reasons why they are reluctant to take that excellent chance.this By conducting an indepth interview method research interviewed some accounting firms , particulary those who take that opportunity, who are in progress, and who are in progress, and who do not. Thirty two managing patners or patners of some accounting firms took part in this research. The research comes to conclude that the main hurdle of doing merger is a cultural problem. Other difficulties are starting point assests and clients, and worry about the melting process.
