This study aims to examine the effect of training program and career ladder to the employee’s readiness to change at two different companies in which the first company is a company engaged in the field of F & B (Food & Beverage), which is currently experiencing the process of decreasing the number of outlets, number of employees, and systems HR development back to the purely administrative aspects while the second company is a world class company that has a structured system in terms of production and human resources development is marked by the existence of career ladder and training system that has been structured for each employee. The study was conducted by survey method by distributing questionnaires to the respondents in the two different companies. Sampling studies using simple random sampling technique and obtained results of the questionnaire a total of 33 eligible respondents in company X and 46 eligible respondents in company Y and having previously conducted trials to test the questionnaire validity and reliability. The obtained data through the questionnaires were processed furthermore using a tool application is called SPSS-version 13 for Windows operating system platform. The results obtained through this research are that: 1. Career ladder has positive and significant impact on employees' readiness to change. That means a better career ladder that provided by the company will create increased employee’s readiness to change.2. A company that has a structured training program has positive and significant impact on employees' readiness to change, it’s meaning more and better training program that provided by the company to equip the employee’s knowledge, skills, and brush will create increased employee’s readiness to change. 3. Both of structured career ladder and training program that hold by a company, have a positive and significant impact on employees' readiness to change. |
