Polyol is an intermediate of oleochemical products and its derivates, which achieves from hydroxylation path of epoxide. The aim the research is to evaluate the effect of concentration; reactant and catalyst, which was Ethylene Glycol-H2SO4 (% v/v) and time operation (minutes) to the oxirane number (%) of soy polyol. Research designed was 2x3 factorial. Research variable was time: 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes, and concentration ratio of soy epoxy to EG was 1:1, 1:3, 1:5; and 1:6. The optimal condition was 90 minutes and concentration ratio at 1:3. The statistics result of ANOVA analysis showed that there is a significant effect of concentration and time operation to the soy polyol oxirane number.
