Abstract
This study presents an empirical study to understand the antecedent factors that visitors consider important to be loyal to the destination of Cox’s Bazar, in Bangladesh. Nine constructs adapted from the literature and validated via field study were used to develop a comprehensive destination loyalty model. Data were collected from 145 visitors as a first wave of data collection and examined using Partial Least Square based analysis. The result
presents a strong support that “Perceived Satisfaction” is the main antecedent of “Destination
Loyalty”. The findings contribute to a better understanding of which behavior mechanisms and factors represent a viable basis for increasing visitors’ loyalty to the individual providers as well as the destination as a whole. Theoretical and practical implications of the results are presented including the limitations and immediate future research directions.
