Isi artikel
An important question in the current TCP/IP architecture is how to extend its technology and its protocols to support mobile computing. The existing protocols were not designed with that goal in mind. The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), the most widely used protocol for network management on TCP/IP networks, is no exception. Adapting the SNMP with a superimposition model may be a possible way to success in mobile environments management [1]. In this paper we evaluate the use of superimposition architecture to improve the performance of the SNMP protocol in a mobile computing architecture. An empirical environment was simulated for the comparison of a conventional SNMP model and an adapted SNMP model. Some performance metrics are presented as a result, showing the superimposition algorithm advantages.
