Isi artikelAging is a natural process in humans. The pattern and sequence of aging are always the same, but the rate at which the changes occur differs significantly from one person to another. Both genetic and environmental factors influence the rate of aging. Off the many environmental factors, diet an influential factor in the aging process and degenerative diseases development that may be controlled and modified. The restriction of calori intake, while maintaining an appropriate intake of essential nutrients, is the most universal intervention known for the extension of life span at least in animals. The mechanisms as show the energy restriction may reduce the rate of aging are not fully understood.
