The head office of BBC English Course published the coursebook entitled “Let’s Study English 3A”. This coursebook is prepared for the students in level
Prepatory Class 3A at BBC English Course as their textbook in learning English. Coursebook plays important roles for the students because it can give more information and knowledge for them in learning English but more likely as Grant (as
cited in by Jazadi, 2003, pp.142-156) stated that “coursebooks try to solve the problem by creating opportunities to the students to use the language in the classroom as a sort- of- “halfway house” before using it in real life”.
Moreover, the coursebook as the students’ textbook must be in line with its syllabus. Good textbook are not just good because of its cover but more likely as
Jazadi (2003) stated that “a good textbook is one that is designed based on learner – centered principles, which focus on learners and on learning, and which give learners a role in classroom decision making processes” (p.143). |
