The Indonesian Education Ministry has issued English as a compulsory lesson in schools so that schools have introduced English to their students, either primary school students or secondary school students. Since English is a compulsory lesson today, English has an essential role in education which must be acquired by students who will take National Examination, popularly called Ujian Nasional (UN) after they have learnt for three years in their schools by the purpose, they can pass it well. After the long journey of students’ learning, National Examination is administered to them to measure the students’ achievement whether the students can graduate from their schools and continue to their next step of education. |
