Isi artikelIn 1995 the August annual meeting of the Society of Business Ethics, and of the Academy of Management, had their annual meeting for the first time ever in Canada. The Society of Business Ethics (SBE) came at the Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, British Columbia. I thought it would be an opportune time to explore the state of business ethics in Canada, and Tom Dunfee, the SBE programme organizer, agreed. So I invited several knowledgeable people in the field to participate in a panel on business ethics in Canada. I suggested two themes: first, the common question about the distinctiveness of Canada, especially in comparison with the USA, and secondly, the direction business ethics is taking in Canada. The result is the following set of papers.
