Technological advancement has increased the usage of air conditioning; while it has been known also that machines that use principle of thermodynamics require high amount of energy. On the other hand, energy has been increasingly important and valuable these days. Thus, there is a need to use them efficiently. Bearing this in mind, the main purpose of this thesis is to observe and analyze implemented methods in steam compression cycle. This system includes several components that intertwined with each other, such as evaporator, compressor, condenser and expansion valve. The writer also measures the real electrical power comsumption for AC, also make more effective of the operation of AC based on the habit of workers in PT. Danareksa Sekuritas, Makassar branch. And from the measurement data and teoritical calculation, we can know that there is potential saving of electricity power that we used. So when we implemented the suggestion for the AC to increase the efficiency and also efectivity, so we can know the saving of the electricity power based on the electricity bill. Based on the analytical and the calculation that we have done, we will also implemented the recommendation based on analytical and aggrement from PT. Danareksa Sekuritas as a company who aggre we do energy auditing of heat and electric in their office building in Makasaar, South Sulawesi. |
