Rosela Indah Medical Centre is a clinic that is focusing in the case of health checks prospective Indonesian Workers. In this case Rosela Indah Medical Centre perform health check service that aims to ensure a productive work force healthy and so ready to be sent to foreign countries in accordance with the minimum requirements required by each field of work available in various destination countries. The problem faced by Rosela Indah Medical Centre is the complaint that experienced by workers, especially nurses on the upper body like the neck, upper arm, forearm, wrist, and upper body (trunk). This study aimed to evaluate the working postures of the nurses in using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA). RULA method of calculation, it will get the value for a working posture in which there is a category for these values are dangerous and need to be revised in the near future. To support the research, carried out also to identify the body parts complaints experienced by nurses using Nordic Body Map. Nordic Body Map divides the body into 27 parts, so that we can know which body parts having a complaint. Thus it can be given the proposed improvements to the Rosela Indah Medical Centre. From the results, the biggest complaint on the part of back, neck, upper arms, waist, shoulders, and forearms of nurses. This was also confirmed by statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test, where there are significant differences between the average nurse complaints before and after work. In terms of calculating the RULA method, the obtained average RULA score highest in a row that is Dian with 6.14, Nini by 6.06, and Halimah, with a score 5.7. Category level for this value is needed improvements in the near future so that there is a good working posture improvement. Proposed improvements that can be given that the frequency of job rotation in quite often, so expect the working posture and the resulting burden is not too dangerous. Besides laying down the arrangements and an ergonomic work piece so that nurses do not perform dangerous work postures. |
