PT. X is a company which is explored in the manufacture of house lights (armature). Founded in 1976 to the present, PT. X has become the largest market share holders for the house lights on Indonesia. These far PT. X has implemented the corrective maintenance policy for maintenance, but apparently with the implementation of the existing treatment system is the value of downtime experienced by large machines. Based on these problems needs a new care system, the proposed new treatment system is to adopt a system of preventive maintenance treatment. The main activities in the proposed treatment system is
the action component replacement and inspections for a certain time interval. Through this proposed system of care expected of a company can minimize
downtime. The analysis tools to determined group of critical machine is pareto diagram, fault diagnosis and FMECA. From the identification of time between the damage distribution was lognormal and normal distribution indicating that the
characteristics of engine damage is increased, so they need to implement a system of preventive care, such as action component replacement and inspection actions during a certain time interval.
After doing the calculations, it turns out the downtime of machines Refrigeration Compressed Air Dryer for 4.5765 hours / month can still be
optimized to a minimum of 3.66 hours / month by doing preventive replacement of components every 163 hours of oil separators, air filters every 251 hours, and air cooler every 309 hours, it is necessary for actions other than the examination of
