Between June 2001 and February 2002 the Halifax Learning Zone (HLZ) and the University of Huddersfield ran two Teacher Associates (TA) programmes funded via the DfES national TA initiative. Associates were recruited via the University Careers Advisory Service (CAS) and allocated to local schools by the HLZ.
