Isi artikel
My own particular view of educational action research for management commits managers to intervening in their own practice to bring about improvement (see ’Action research for managing change’, in N. Bennett, R. Glatter & R. Levecic, Improving Education through Research and Consultancy, London: Paul Chapman, 1994: 156-167). The desired improvement might appear to be a technical matter, such as increasing the participation of colleagues in a meeting. Using an action research approach, the manager could investigate 2 or 3 meetings, trying out ’imagined solutions’ such as changing the location and time of the meeting, inviting colleagues to set the agenda etc.
