The Machine maintenance which is not optimal in PT. Voksel Electric Tbk makes product cost high and product quality low. The bad condition of machine resulted on defect product and the machine that is produce defect product means that the machine needs maintenance. To solve this problem, researcher would like to suggest evaluation of decision making policy of machine maintenance by using Statistical Quality Control and Optimization. As research focus, the researcher attain critical machine, that is Stranding machine 30 B/1 from the production division of Alumunium Conductor. Researcher provides facility for the user by creating application program using Visual Basic 6.0 and Minitab 14 software. This application produces six options where the first option is bad condition of machine and not doing maintenance, the second option is bad condition of machine and doing maintenance, the third option is good condition of machine, controllable product condition and not doing maintenance, the forth option is good condition of machine and controllable product condition and doing maintenance, the fifth option is good condition of machine, uncontrollable product condition and not doing maintenance, the sixth option is good condition of machine, uncontrollable product condition and doing maintenance. Researcher predicted that the transition probability of machine condition on 20th day will be between 0.00020792 – 0.47285166. The difference between doing maintenance and not doing it is quite large, it is about + Rp. 55.000.000. The result of this research is described in final assignment made by the researcher. Then the decision maker may consider the six cost options, so that she/he can be wise in making decision. |
